SHAPE OUR FUTURE
Aloha,
As you know, our organization has established a legacy of service to the community, starting with our Nisei founders some 70 years ago. While Hawaii has grown and our economy has expanded, the number of those less fortunate in our community continues to grow.
That is why I am so grateful for the United Way. UW is one of the largest local charitable organizations, raising millions of dollars to advance the health, education, and financial stability of people across all our communities. AUW supports over 250 partner agencies across Oahu. No other local charity brings together as many resources and serves as many of our residents.
Over the past five years, CPB and the CPB Foundation have given nearly $2.5 million to Aloha United Way, which enables them to carry out their mission to support families, particularly those that need it most. I could not be prouder of the generosity shown by our employees for such a worthwhile community resource, whose mission is more critical today than ever.
This is why I encourage you to participate in this year’s UW fundraising effort. Every donation counts no matter how large or small. I’m going to contribute and hope you do, too. Please know that you will be helping to perpetuate our legacy of service to the community.
Arnold
